INTERNATIONAL Excellence Awards (IEA) acknowledged efforts of international sea swimmer police constable Sukhadeo Dhurve the other day. In an event held at Mumbai, Dhurve, along with 34 others, was honoured with a trophy and a certificate at the hands of Prakash Pimpri, Police Commissioner Krishna Chinchwad, Pune; former Deputy Collector Sudhir Diwe, Dr Sandeep Singh, Chairman, IEA and ex-Miss India Simran Ahuja.

 

It may be recalled that Dhurve family had swam from Elephanta to Gateway of India to enter Asian Book of Records and India Book of Records. Dhurve has also crossed Strait of Gibraltar and also holds many sea swimming records. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar Deputy Commissioner (HQ) Dr Sandeep Pakhale and Deputy Commissioner (Crime) Rajmane congratulated Dhurve.
