MIDC Industries Association (MIA) Hingna recently held a webinar with Maha Metro (Nagpur Metro) officials on Metro rail services and feeder services for people working in MIDC Hingna Industrial Area. Mahesh Gupta, Joint General Manager (Civil), In-charge Multi-Modal Integration of Maha Metro, gave insights through presentations and videos about the various aspects related to Nagpur Metro. Gupta emphasised on the benefits of using Metro rail and feeder services for daily commuting purpose.
 
He urged the people working in Hingna MIDC to use metro services on daily basis. He explained in detail about various facilities, services being offered and planned for Nagpur. Gupta said, “Maha Metro has been conducting outreach campaigns with various stakeholders and have shared information through brochures with industries in Hingna MIDC. This is being done, so that more people can avail the benefits of Maha Metro services.” Gupta said, “Maha Metro has inked memorandum of understandings (MoUs) with large number of conveyance providers to achieve first and last mile connectivity for users.”
 
“A team from Maha Metro has been specifically assigned to visit each industry, interact with their people and collect data about their conveyance requirements in order to plan the services accordingly,” Gupta further added. This interactive webinar was joined by members of MIA Hingna and many industries of MIDC Hingna. Many queries and information related to the Maha Metro services were discussed. C G Shegaonkar, President of MIA Hingna welcomed Mahesh Gupta and other webinar attendees. Shegaonkar on behalf of industries of MIDC Hingna assured full support to the Maha Metro services. “MIA Hingna is ready to help in every possible way, so that maximum people take advantage of the Maha Metro and feeder services,” he said.
Accordingly, he appealed to the industries of MIDC Hingna to propagate the use and benefits of Maha Metro to its employees, along with providing the required data needed by Maha Metro to plan first and last mile connectivity in accordance with industries of MIDC Hingna. Sachin Jain, Secretary of MIA Hingna appreciated Gupta and his team of Maha Metro for taking efforts and planning for first and last mile connectivity for people working in MIDC Hingna. He said that more people need to understand the benefits of using the Maha Metro services for daily commuting. Jain also proposed a vote of thanks.
