A young man was murdered after being stabbed and another was attacked brutally following a dispute during gambling in a farm near Gorabazar Dhobighat late in the night on Wednesday. On a complaint, the Police along with FSL team reached the spot.
 
During investigation the Police arrested the accused involved in the murder. Gorabazar Police informed that 39-year-old Surendra Pillay alias Tinku, a resident of Bhongadwar, ran a hardware shop. On Wednesday night, Surendra had gone to Dhobighat with his friend Santosh Dahiya where they had a dispute with Gagan and one of his companions Aman over the transaction of money.
 
Both Gagan and Aman attacked Surendra with a knife in which he died.The accused with the intention to kill Santosh also attacked him with knife, in which he was badly injured. After the incident, both the accused escaped from the scene. Santosh, who was attacked brutally was shifted to Medical Hospital in critical condition. The Police later started an intense search and arrested the accused in the night only. The police also seized blood-stained flex from the crime scene and investigating the matter in detail.
