On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, first major festival of the New Year, Municipal Commissioner Anoop Kumar and other senior officials felicitated sanitation workers. After felicitation, the Municipal Commissioner along with sanitation workers had a specially prepared meal.

 

While honouring workers for their valuable contribution in keeping the city clean, Kumar said after Jabalpur has received status of ODF++, it is now the responsibility of everyone to come together and take the city to highest position in the country in Swachh Survekshan 2021.

 

Kumar informed that felicitation programme has been organised at division-level to honour and improve efficiency of excellent sanitation workers. In the first phase sanitation workers of wards under Raja Gokuldas Dharmshala division were honoured. On the occasion, Additional Commissioner Parmeswar Jalote also hailed working of sanitation workers in making the city clean.

 

He also apprised everyone about rules related to sanitation and encouraged them to discharge their responsibilities with honesty. Those present on the occasion were Assistant Commissioner Ekta Agarwal, Divisional Officer Vijay Verma, Rakesh Tiwari, Incharge Assistant Health Officer Anil Jain, Dharamshala Manager Santosh Tiwari, Incharge Office Superintendent Dilip Dubey, Incharge Chief Health Inspector Polarao and others.
