Rs 1 crore aid to family of martyr Nk Bhushan Satai

State Government has released an aid of Rs 1 crore to the parents of Naik Bhushan Rameshrao Satai, who was martyred in mortar shelling by Pakistan in Gurez sector of Jammu and Kashmir in 2020. Naik Bhushan Satai was a resident of Katol in Nagpur district. General Administration Department of State Government issued a Government Resolution in this regard on January 15.
 
Of the total aid released, Rs 50 lakh has been issued to the martyr’s mother Meera, and Rs 50 lakh to his father Rameshrao. The aid has been sanctioned from the interest on funds drawn from Chief Minister’s (Kargil) Fund and invested in nationalised bank.
 
Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, Nagpur, has been empowered as Drawing and Disbursing Officer, and has been asked to make available the financial aid to the parents of the martyr through ECS and submit a report about the same to the State Government. Nk Bhushan Satai, a resident of Phailpura, Katol, was martyred on November 13, 2020, in mortar shelling by Pakistan. He was on duty in Gurez sector in Jammu and Kashmir. His funeral at Katol was attended by a host of political leaders, military and civilian officers.
