PANKAJ Lalwani and Md Saifullah made it to semi-finals of the Woodshot Open Snooker Tournament under way at Woodshot Pool ‘N’ Snooker Club in Himalaya Harmony, Pratap Nagar Square on Monday. Lalwani and Saifullah recorded contrasting wins in their respective quarter-finals for sport in last four.

 

While Lalwani got the better of Sahil Jamba 3-1 (93-9, 44-64, 59-44, 68-39), Saifullah blanked Sanket Charde 3-0 (61-34, 57-48, 94-3). Jamba played really well as an amateur against Lalwani, who is a much seasoned player. Saifullah was fantastic throughout the game and didn’t give any chance to Charde in taking lead. The duo completed the semis line-up joining Ranjeet Nasery and Tushar Mankar. All the semi-finalists have assured themselves of at least Rs 5000 as cash reward.
