FOR experiencing the amazing products of cotton, silk, handloom made by master craftsmen from all over India displayed in 49 stalls of different States of India, one has to visit the Cotton and Silk Exhibition cum sale which will remain open till December 11 at Chitnavis Centre, 56, Temple Bazar Road, Civil Lines. Timings are from 10 am to 9 pm.
 
The exhibition is getting an overwhelming response from the citizens. The participants are directly selling their products at the lowest costs directly to the customers who can get authentic and exclusive products and promote these artisans coming from all over the country.
 
The products on display include large variety of exclusive silk and cotton sarees, dress materials, suits, stoles, dupattas, kurtas and kurties, along with fashion jewellery and artefacts for home décor are sure to entice one and all. The specialities includes varieties like Bhagalpuri Tassar, Kosa and Khadi silk of Bihar, Lucknow Chikan, Jamdani and Banaras silk from Uttar Pradesh. The expo also showcases Chanderi and Maheshwari silk of MP, Patola, Bandhini and Kutch embroidery from Gujarat. From Rajasthan there is Bandhei, block print and Sanganeri print, Bangalore silk and printed crepe from Karnataka. From J&K there is embroidered and Tabi silk, Kanjavaram and Coimbatore cotton from Tamil Nadu etc.
 
From West Bengal there is Balucheri, Kantha, Tangail and Jamdani, Chhattisgarh’s Kantha, Kosa silk and more are available. The exhibition is all about the use of traditional handloom skills to create contemporary lifestyle products all under one roof. People in large numbers should make the most of this golden opportunity to enrich their wardrobe for the festive and redecorate their homes with attractive home décor items.
