Cops remained deployed in Old City areas of Bhopal to deal with any untoward situation although Section 144 was revoked by the District Collector Avinash Lavania. Two kilometer area around the disputed plot is being monitored by Police Department using CCTV cameras. Most restrictions were removed after situation seemed normal but cops can still be seen deployed on check points and especially in Hanumanganj area.

 

Roads approaching the plot are sealed and no one is allowed to move there. Personnel of Special Security Force have also been deployed there along with District Police Force. Owing to this business around Hamidia road, Chhola road and Berasia road remained affected. Decades old dispute over 30,000 sq ft land Collector Avinash Lavania had issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 to avoid any chaos over demarcation of a disputed piece of 30,000 square feet land.

 

The land was outside an RSS office and it was claimed that the land belonged to members of other community. After the High Court ruled a decision in favour of RSS, curfew was imposed in Hanumanganj, Tila Jamalpura and Gautam Nagar police station areas, to avoid any disorder over giving possession of the land.
