Over 5,000 health workers vaccinated on second day in CG

Total of 5,280 Health Care Workers (HCW) were vaccinated through-out State on the second day of vaccination on Monday. During two days of vaccination total of 10,857 Health Care Workers were vaccinated in state out of expected 18,413 frontline workers. Over 9,000 HCW are going to be vaccinated on Wednesday through 97 centres in State. As per information received from official sources the vaccination process will continue all over the state as per schedule. Health Department officials have appealed all the frontline workers whose names are enrolled to reach the centres and get vaccinated. There is nothing to worry as on date over 10,000 HCW have successfully taken the vaccine.
 
 
Dr Meera Baghel, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) informed that the numbers of vaccination is going to rise gradually as people have gained confidence by now and no negative case was detected so far. She assured that the vaccine is absolutely safe and she herself has enrolled for the vaccination. During vaccination drive conducted on Monday 301 candidates were vaccinated in Raipur district, 373 in Durg, 218 in Rajnandgaon, 326 in Bilaspur, 194 in Sukma, 259 in Raigarh, 232 in Balod, 294 in Surguja, 180 in Janjgir-Champa, 225 in Baloda Bazaar, 166 in Jashpur, 190 in Korba, 204 Bemetara, 166 Dhamtari, 101 Koriya, 148 Kondagaon, 184 Kanker, 166 Gaurela Pendra Marwahi, 148 Mungeli, 35 in Narainpur, 150 Gariaband, 252 Bastar, 70 Dantewada, 131 Surajpur, 139 Balrampur, 176 Mahasamund, 115 Bijapur and 137 in Kabirdham. As per schedule after 28 days of vaccination second dose of vaccine will be given to the HCW. After 14 days of second dose normally anti-bodies are developed to fight corona. Health Department has appealed public to follow Covid protocol and use face mask, hand sanitizers and maintain social distancing.
