Sharma said people of Madhya Pradesh have full faith in BJP and the party will win civic polls with huge victory in all districts

State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Vishnu Dutt Sharma, on Saturday indicated that former MLAs and leaders holding posts in the organisation may not be given a chance in ensuing civic body polls. He said the party will give tickets to winning candidates. Addressing a press conference, Sharma said BJP is a worker-based organisation and therefore we are working with a resolve to make the party stronger.

He said people of Madhya Pradesh have full faith in BJP and the party will win civic body elections with huge victory in all districts of the State. Brushing aside possibility of making any specific rule for ticket distribution, Sharma said party works as per set system. He however added that efforts would be made to avoid tickets to those holding posts in the organisation. Talking about ongoing drive against mafias, he said the State Government will act more sternly against land mafias and people involved in illegal activities.

Commenting on Congress leaders’ allegations that the State Government is taking action against selected people, Sharma said it is the Congress which acts against BJP workers only. The Government is working with utmost transparency and maintaining full equality in its deeds. He said there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm in entire country for construction of temple at Ram Janmabhoomi. Five hundred years of struggle for Ram Janmabhoomi has ended. Sharma said honouring sentiments of countrymen, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid foundation of temple and now it is the responsibility of every Indian to provide his support for this pious work, so that Ram Mandir is built as a wonderful pilgrimage in front of the world.
