The temperature of the day has started increasing due to changing winds. Due to this, the intensity of sun shine has also increased in day time bringing little respite from cold weather. Maximum temperature recorded in Bhopal was 28 (+1.5) degree Celsius and minim temperature recorded was 15 degree Celsius. Wind velocity recorded was 12 km per hour. Weather Department has issued cold wave warning for Chambal, Gwalior divisions.
 
Thunder showers warning has also been issued for these areas. Besides, Neemuch, Rajgarh were also issued warning of heavy fog and rain showers. On Saturday, lowest temperature was recorded at Mandla which was 7 degree Celsius. A slight increase in minimum temperature was witnessed in some areas in Sagar, Bhopal, Indore.
 
According to Weather Department, a powerful western disturbance is active near Afghanistan. Apart from this a trough is formed from the Arabian Sea to Rajasthan because of this the weather patterns are going to change and rains showers can be expected in some parts of the state including Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar, Ujjain divisions. Besides, a weak western disturbance is present over Jammu and Kashmir. In addition, another western disturbance is active in and around Afghanistan. Maximum temperature recorded at Indore was 26.7 degrees Celsius which was one degree below normal and minimum temperature recorded at 16.8(0) degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum at 25.6(0) degrees Celsius and minimum at 11.4 degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded 20.8 degrees Celsius and minimum at 8(+2) degrees Celsius.
