 Foggy weather was witnessed in the city on Sunday.

Due to moisture coming from the Arabian Sea, cloudy weather was witnessed in the city. This led to rise in minimum temperature. According to Weather Department, in Gwalior, Chambal, Bhopal, Ujjain and Indore divisions thunderstorms are likely in next 24 hours. During this period, hailstorm is also expected.
 
This weather condition may last for two-three days. Lowest temperature was recorded in Mandla at 7 degrees Celsius. Hailstorm warning has been issued at Chambal, Gwalior, Guna and Mandsaur divisions. As per Weather Department western disturbance is currently active in and around Afghanistan. A trough extends from Arabian sea through Gujarat to Rajasthan. Due to this effect, East and West winds are colliding. In addition, an induced cyclone is over Southwest Rajasthan.
 
Due to the effect of these three systems weather was cloudy in Bhopal, Gwalior, Chambal and Indore divisions. Bhopal city with maximum temperature at 27.9 (+4) degrees Celsius and minimum temperature at 16.6 (+6) degrees Celsius which was six degrees above normal temperature. Wind velocity recorded was 12 kms per hour. Weather Department has issued thundershowers warning in Tikamgarh, Jabalpur, Sagar, Betul, Hoshangabad, Seoni, Hoshanagabad, Chhindwara, Balaghat and Mandla. The department officials have said that around 28 areas have witnessed maximum temperature ranging from 40-45 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature recorded in Indore was 27 degrees Celsius which was one degree below normal range and minimum temperature recorded at 17.4(0) degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum at 30.2(0) degrees Celsius and minimum at 14.2(+2) degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded 24.9(+1)degrees Celsius and minimum at 12(+6) degrees Celsius.
