Congmen to stage stir against JMC’s post-COVID decisions

Congress workers will stage protest on January 7 to express resentment against decisions taken by the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) in months after the global pandemic COVID-19. The protest would be staged under the leadership of former Cabinet minister and Congress leader, Lakhan Ghanghoria. In the protest, raising various incomplete development and construction works in city and irresponsible behaviour of JMC towards citizens who were in great trouble due to loss of employment during the COVID-19 pandemic with hiked taxes, stringent recovery of pending taxes, etc, the leaders staged protest.
 
Former Finance Minister, Tarun Bhanot expressing ire against State Government and JMC authorities for stopping already sanctioned works in previous government of Congress in State. He appealed public representatives for unanimous approach towards development of city. MLA Vinay Saxena commenting on the issues said Jabalpur Municipal Corporation has failed in fulfilling its responsibilities towards the citizens in prevailing circumstances.
 
The Municipal Corporation has failed in maintaining cleanliness, continuing already sanctioned works under the head of Central and State Government. He also criticised the State Government towards showing continuous ignorance towards proper development of city and highlighted that mostly works have been left incomplete or are being executed unplanned. City chief, Dinesh Yadav appealed the residents of the city to support the protest against continuous ignorance towards development of city.
