The railway overbridge constructed at a cost of about Rs 23 crore was inaugurated in Kareli of Narsinghpur district on Monday in the special presence of Rajya Sabha MP Kailash Soni, Narsinghpur-Hoshangabad MP Rao Uday Pratap Singh and MLA Jalam Singh Patel. In the programme, Member of Rajya Sabha, Soni said that the inaugurated bridge will be named after former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. Its proposal has been sent to the District Planning Committee. This overbridge will be known as Atal Setu.

 

MP Soni said that Kareli is in two parts. Half of the population and a large number of vehicles passing through the city had to wait at the railway gate for hours. With the construction of railway overbridge, there will be lot of convenience in traffic and people will get relief. The designed over bridge was designed in such a way that parking of vehicles could be arranged. Also, there should not be any kind of disturbance in the movement. Recalling former Prime Minister Atalji, Soni said that schemes like Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Swarnim Quadrilateral Scheme and Kisan Credit Card are owed to the country. Next year, his statue will also be installed in the city which will reflect their value-based politics and decision based politics. On this occasion, he appealed to the residents that the old Kareli city was settled in a very systematic way.

 

“If you want to keep this city alive then everyone will have to extend their support. Do not randomly park vehicles on the roads. It is also the responsibility of all of us to maintain the traffic smoothly,” he added. MP Rao Uday Pratap Singh said that to overcome the disruption of the movement of the city, it has been provided to the resident of Kareli with the overbridge. This bridge was being demanded for a long time, which has been completed today. Soon, lighting work will start on the bridge with an estimated cost of Rs 24 lakh. He said that eight rail overbridges were built in his constituency. He said that as a public representative, it is his responsibility to diagnose the problems of the people. With the introduction of the bridge, people will now have a lot of time.

 

During this, he also referred to the agricultural laws of the Government of India. MLA Jalam Singh Patel said that the work of construction of rail overbridge is being done by the government all over India. This overbridge, which Kareli has received will provide a pleasant feeling to the public of this region. It has been constructed with quality work. He also threw light on the other schemes for public welfare. On this occasion, Divisional Executive Engineer of Setu Nigam, Prabhakar Parihar, Rajat Chauhan, Rajiv Singh, Shankar Choudhary, Neeraj Lunavat, Hargovind Patel, SDM, Radheshyam Baghel, Tehsildar, Pankaj Mishra, CMO, Sneha Mishra and other officers and employees were present.
