western disturbance is currently active over Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir. Due to its effect, an induced cyclone is formed over Southwest Rajasthan. Apart from this, a trough is formed from Punjab through cyclone over Gujarat and Rajasthan from Arabian Sea. Due to this, weather patterns in the State have been disturbed since last three days. However, the system over Pakistan and cyclone over Rajasthan has now weakened. Sunshine will increase day’s temperature. Night temperature will start decreasing gradually.
 
Due to weakening of weather system in Pakistan and Rajasthan, change in weather condition will witness in State including Bhopal. Maximum temperature will start to rise and minimum temperature will start declining. According to meteorologists another western disturbance will enter North India on January 7. Due to its effect, from January 9, rains will once again start in many places of the State, including the capital. On Wednesday, rain showers was witnessed in many isolated areas in Shahdol, Rewa, Sagar, Jabalpur. Bhopal recorded maximum temperature at 29 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature was at 13 degrees Celsius which was two degrees below normal temperature. Wind velocity recorded was 12 kms per hour.
 
The Weather Department has issued thundershower warning at Sidhi, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria etc. Moderate to heavy fog warning has been issued for Gwalior, Datia, Guna, Ujjain, Sehore, Bhopal, Rajgarh. Maximum temperature recorded at Indore was at 26.8 degrees Celsius which was one degree below normal range and minimum temperature recorded at 14.9(0) degrees Celsius. Jabalpur recorded maximum at 29.1(0) degrees Celsius and minimum at 18.2(+7) degrees Celsius. Gwalior recorded at 26.5(+4) degrees Celsius and minimum at 14.9(+8) degrees Celsius.Rain was recorded at some areas, including Chhindwara which was at 2.6 mm.
