SHIVA Iyer would look to continuing his winning run while Aditya Bodkhe and Sumedh Ramteke will aim to take their game a notch up when they participate in the SN Shrivastava and Kalavatidevi Shrivastava Memorial Blitz Chess Tournament which will be held on January 10 from 6 pm onwards. The competition will be held through the platform of lichess.org. In the competition held last week, Iyer maintained his dominance and won his second straight title in the rapid field with an all win record from eight games.

 

Bodkhe and Ramteke had finished second and third respectively. They would try to improve their game and find some flaws in Iyer’s dominant game. Iyer has been in a fine form since the online chess competitions are being held. He has so far won nine titles in both blitz and rapid categories. The tournament will be conducted online under the supervision of IA Pravin Pantawane. The total prize money will be of Rs 5,000.

 

Total nine rounds will be played. The matches will start at 6 pm on Sunday. The entry fee is Rs 100 per participant and the same will be accepted till January 9 till 11.30 pm. Entries with late fee will be accepted till 3 pm on January10. User-ID of lichess.org is mandatory for every participant.
