Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Prabhuram Chaudhary said that State has done all the necessary arrangements for COVID-19 vaccination. Reviewing preparations at Mantralaya on Wednesday, he said that dry run (vaccination rehearsal) to be done in State on January 8 should be done seriously.He emphasised on training of vaccination teams, vaccine storage, officials related to logistics etc.
 
He informed that in first stage, COVID-19 vaccination will be given to health care workers which includes doctors and health employees of Government and non-Government hospitals. Vaccination will be started once vaccine arrives and date of vaccination is fixed. There are 1,158 cold storages for vaccination. In one session at one vaccine centre, vaccine will be given to 100 people. He instructed that all necessary facilities should be there at vaccination centres. He told that there will be three rooms at vaccination centre, first will be waiting room, second will be vaccination room and third will be observation room. At vaccination centre, there will be four vaccine officer in vaccination team. Responsibility of observation will be given to a senior officer.
 
The entire vaccination process will be done through coWIN platform. The information of registration, vaccination centre and vaccination timing, to send SMS in this regard, successful vaccination information to person in concerned will be done through coWIN platform. Through State-level control room, an eye will be kept on vaccination process. After vaccination of health care workers in first phase, vaccination of front line workers will be done in second phase. He directed officers to make solid arrangement regarding vaccination process. He himself will take of arrangements by visiting control room, cold chain and vaccination centres. Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman, Health Commissioner Dr Ajay Goyal and MD NHM Chavi Bhardwaj etc were present in the meeting.
