To discuss preventive measures for effective control of Bird Flu in the city, an important meeting of poultry farm owners and district administration was held on Thursday. Additional Collector Sandeep GR presided over the meeting at Collectorate. It was informed in meeting that no cases of Bird Flu traced in Jabalpur district. Additional Collector, Sandeep G R said that though yet no case of Bird Flu traced in the district but the Poultry farmers and traders have keep their farms clean to ensure effective control.

 

Proper cooking of Poultry items does not carry any infection and to avoid any infection the cooking should be done in clean area and in proper temperature for long time. he instructed to the poultry farmers to apprize the Administration on any health related issues comes amongst birds. He also instructed to take saplings on death of birds, migratory birds, crows and other birds. He also instructed to keep close monitoring on water bodies, rivers where birds, migratory birds stays and their health should be kept on records.

 

He instructed to related departments to constitute rapid response teams and on any serious situation the teams should reach and act as per protocol.
