Cong’s stir against JMC’s alleged lethargy

Protesting against sluggish development and hindrances in progress of various developmental works due to lethargic approach of the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) and step-motherly treatment being given to Jabalpur by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in the State, the Congress workers staged massive demonstration, dharna at the Civic Centre, on Thursday.
 
On the call of former Cabinet Minister, Lakhan Ghanghoria the Congress workers led by Former Finance Minister, Tarun Bhanot, former Deputy Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha, Heena Kanvre, MLA Sanjay Yadav, MLA Vinay Saxena, City Congress Committee President, Dinesh Yadav, City Congress Committee Executive President, Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu and others eminent Congress leaders shared the dais and strongly criticized the policies and decisions taken by the State Government and JMC towards execution of the development works since the lockdown imposed in city due to pandemic strike COVID 19 in city. Former Cabinet Minister and MLA Jabalpur east, Lakhan Ghanghoria said that in Jabalpur East self employment of majority of population got affected in COVID 19 pandemic since it strike till present but the JMC has imposed high taxes and also enforced recovery.
 
The JMC has also failed in maintaining cleanliness in city. Former Finance Minister, MLA Jabalpur West, Tarun Bhanot apprised in detail about works sanctioned in Congress government to paceup the development of city. he added since BJP Government came in power it failed in providing even sufficient funds to the works despite these works were passed in Cabinet meeting in the Assembly. He appealed to all party leaders to come united to fight for the rights of Jabalpur. The meeting was also addressed by Deputy Speaker of the assembly, Heena Kanvre, Dinesh Yadav, MLA Sanjay Yadav, MLA Vinay Saxena and other Congress leaders.
