MP’s Kirar grabs place in Indian Archery team

A splendid player of Madhya Pradesh Archery Academy, Muskan Kirar has bagged her place in the Indian compound team, which will participate in the 22nd Asian Archery Championship to be held at Bangladesh’s Dhaka from November 19 to 26. Apart from Kirar, PSPB’s Jyoti Surekha, PB’s Praneet Kaur and Rajasthan’s Priya Kaur have also been selected for the team. Notably, 5 archers from the MP Archery Academy; Muskaan Kirar, Srishti Singh, Ragini Marco, Amit Yadav and Saurabh Pandey had participated in the Asian Championship trials. All these players are undergoing training under the guidance of MP Archery Academy’s head coach Richpal Salaria. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia has congratulated Muskan on this acquisition. Muskan Kirar is a native resident of Jabalpur. She was felicitated by the state government in the years 2018 and 2019 with Eklavya award and Vikram award respectively. She clinched the silver medal in the Asian Games held in 2018, silver medal in Asian Archery championship held in Bangkok and bronze medal in the World championship, held in Netherlands. She has represented Indian in almost 14 International Archery championships. In all, she has fetched 10 medals to India, including 1 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze.
