Ramleela Utsav, organised by Directorate of Culture, Madhya Pradesh from October 10 to 14 at Ravindra Bhavan, witnessed Lord Ram’s coronation, Kaikeyi-Manthara dialogue, Ram’s exile, Kewat’s introduction, Dasharatha’s death, Bharat and Ram milaap and Sita Haran on second day of the programme. The cultural programme on the second day of Utsav began with the announcement of the coronation of Lord Ram. King Dasharatha, Lord Ram’s father, announces the coronation of Lord Ram, but after the conversation between Kaikeyi and Manthara, Kaikeyi asks King Dasharatha for two boons. As a result, she establishes her son Bharat on the throne and sends Rama to forest exile for 14 years. Respecting the righteousness and family beliefs, Lord Ram, Lakshmana and Sita, following the orders of their parents, relinquish royal pleasures and leave for the forest. Lord Ram drops Lakshmana and Sita on the Awadhvasi Sarayu banks.
 
This is followed by the arrival of Kevat, who is embraced by Lord Ram due to his devotion. In the next scene, Ayodhya mourns its segregation from Lord Ram and Maharaj Dasaratha gives up his life. Bharat and Shatrughna enter Ayodhya.. Bharat approaches Lord Rama along with the Ayodhya army and upon seeing him, embraces him. Thereafter, Lord Rama asks Gurudev for the remedy. Guru Vashisht, in response to this, tells Bharat to hand over his Charan-paduka (footwear) to Lord Rama and advises him to rule by keeping those Charan-padukas on the throne. Sita Haran episode was staged in the next scene. On the third day, on October 12, Ram’s friendship with Sugriva, Bali slaughter, Lanka Dahan, formation of Ramsetu, Ravana and Angad’s conversation, Kumbhakaran and Meghnath’s slaughter, Ravana’s slaughter and Lord Ram coronation events will be staged.
