RAIPUR,

Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar on Tuesday scrutinised the Jal Jeevan Mission works at Neer Bhawan. The officials put up district-wise detailed information. Expressing his displeasure over furnished information, Minister said that there seems to be no effect of clear directions given in previous departmental review meeting. Department officials must change their ways or be ready to face music. Supplying potable water to citizens is highest priority of State Government. Additional Chief Secretary Subrat Sahu took updates on works running under Jal Jeevan Mission. Sahu said that as per directions given in the past meeting, the works related to administrative approval for retrofitting project should have been completed by October 5, 2021. The projects in several districts are running too slowly. Sahu warned of holding back increment in salary of nodal officer in future.

He directed officials to regularly upload Jal Jeevan Mission works on Government of India’s website and projects should be completed ahead of time. Mission Director S Prakash told that projects in Gariyaband are going quite well while reacting strongly to slow pace in Mahasamund and Jashpur. At the meeting, works like status of district-wise retrofitting online tenders, drinking water sample quality test through FTK, running water supply to Ashram School and Health Centres, Solar-based Nal-Jal Praday Yojana, Naveen Nal-Jal Yojana and administrative approval to floated tenders, HFTC information, state-funded NRDWUP and Jal Praday approved under other funds and hand-pump status in districts, single village scheme, Nagariya Jal Praday Yojana, Aanganbadi Centres, Schools, bore-well at Gothans etc were discussed.
