Railway Administration has cautioned passengers not to carry inflammables and fire crackers in trains which could be dangerous and is an offence. Railway officials during festival season conduct special drive to stop transportation of fire crackers and other inflammables in train. Especially at the time of festivals Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) staff conduct monitoring of passengers to keep watch over suspicious movement and illegal transportation of fire crackers. Passengers are being made aware about the methods to avoid fire incident during journey.
 
South East Central Railway (SECR) officials have requested passengers not to travel with gas cylinders, petrol/ diesel, crackers etc. for safety of all. In case they notice other passengers travelling with such banned items one can bring the matter to the notice of on duty TTE, RPF or other Railway staff. Unsafe use of stoves by vendors should be reported. Smoking in train on public place is ban and punishable. Passenger should avoid travelling with fire crackers or kerosene, petrol or diesel. Items like match stick, lighter, movie films should not be kept during journey. One should not mishandle the electrical switches fitted in the train compartments and should use them as per rule. Passengers are requested to help railway to serve them better and cooperate with railway in providing better amenities and safe journey.
