The Health Department is giving special therapy to people who came in contact with TB patients to protect them from infection and to prevent further spread of the disease. A special camp was organised for TB eradication at Bairagarh Civil Hospital on Wednesday. Collector Avinash Lavania inaugurated this camp by distributing medicines to family of a patient to prevent infection among people coming in contact with TB patient. Bhopal Police DIG Irshad Wali, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Prabhakar Tiwari, District Tuberculosis Officer Dr Manoj Verma and Superintendent of Bairagarh Civil Hospital Dr Ramhit Kumar were present on the occasion. District Tuberculosis Officer Dr Manoj Verma said that there are about 9,000 patients in Bhopal, in whose family there are three to four persons, who are to be given this prophylactic therapy. According to Dr Ramhit Kumar, a list of people who came in contact with TB patients will be prepared, after which investigation will be done.
 
Renovation of OT, labour room of Bairagarh Hospital The operation theater and labour room of Bairagarh Civil Hospital have also been renovated. Superintendent Dr Ramiht Kumar said that now problems of patients being operated will be removed. It may be mentioned that with renovation of labour room, pregnant women will get convenience. It is noteworthy that a large number of women from the surrounding rural areas reach this hospital for delivery.
