VLF to launch book ‘Ramrao...’ on Oct 23

Vidarbha Literary Festival (VLF) is all set to launch the book ‘Ramrao -- The Story of India’s Farm Crisis’ written by senior journalist and writer Jaideep Hardikar on October 23 (Saturday) at 5 pm at Mimosa Hall in Chitnavis Center, Civil Lines. Hardikar will be in conversation with Tanvir Mirza about his book ‘Ramrao...’ published by Harper Collins. Hardikar is a Nagpur-based senior journalist, writer, researcher, and a core member of People’s Archive of Rural India. He has worked with ‘The Hitavada’, ‘DNA’, and ‘The Telegraph’ among other publications. He has reported extensively from Vidarbha on farmer suicides and the cotton crisis. The recipient of a number of journalism fellowships, he is also the author of ‘A Village Awaits Doomsday’.
 
The event will give an opportunity to all the book-lovers of Nagpur and Vidarbha to interact with the author. The event is set to take you around rural Vidarbha and is an attempt to make you understand the agrarian crisis. It will be an in-person event with COVID-19 protocol in place and not more than 75 people as attendees. Registration is free and mandatory.
