Unique: GCSI holds Shradh, Tarpan, Pind Daan for Martyrs

It is common for the family members to perform Shradh, Tarpan, Pind Daan etc. of the deceased relatives in the Pitra Paksha, but if the same is performed for the martyrs of the country by someone, then surely it symbolizes patriotism. One such event was organised under the banner of Green Care Society India (GCSI) following the corona protocols in the local Thaneshwar temple in Pithora development of Mahasamund district. Pandit Bhagirathi Dubey, Pandit Krishna Sharma, Pandit Kailash Dubey, Pandit Gaindlal and Pandit Mevalal played active part in making this rare event success.
 
After this, Pandit Bhagirathi Dubey said in detail about the importance of Shradh, Tarpan Pinddan, peace of the departed soul in Devlok and welfare of the family in the earth. Martyr Vivekananda Tripathi’s wife Ahilya Devi, daughter Reshma, Martyr Kamleshwar Sonwani’s wife Mohini Devi, father Rameshwar Sonwani, daughter Jigyasa, Martyr Pramod Patel’s wife Kiran Patel, elder brother Gargishankar Patel performed Pinda Daan. Later, the martyr families were honoured with a shawl, Shrifal. Green Care President Vishwanath Panigrahi said that in 2018, the first programme was organised in Gayaji Tirth, the second year in Tendukona, and now it was held in Pithora. Amujuri Biswanath paid tribute by talking to the families of the martyrs over mobile phone. Thaneshwar Temple Committee, Martyr Memorial Committee member, Gurdeep Chawla, Ajmani ji, Umesh Dixit, Sitaram Sinha, Ritesh Mahanti, Surendra Pandey, Dr Sanjay Goyal, Swapnil Tiwari, Shekhar Naidu, journalist Santosh Gupta, Manohar Sahu, Gaurav Chandrakar, Tarachand Patel, Sanjay Sinha, Loknath Khute, Santram Kurre supported in making the programme successful. The program was conducted by litterateur and journalist Santosh Gupta and a vote of thanks was proposed by journalist Vishnu Mahanand. Next year, this event will be held in Bagbahra.
