The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC), on Tuesday organised Jan Sunwai (public hearing) at the Commissionerate. Municipal Commissioner, Sandeep G R along with senior officials heard the problems of citizens during Jan Sunwai from 11 am to 1 pm. It may be noted that following spread of corona virus infection, the JMC had stopped Jansunwai. As the situation is now getting better, the civic body has on Tuesday resumed the public hearing. During Jan Sunwai, the Municipal Commissioner received as many as 14 complaints related to cleanliness, encroachment, building branch, revenue department, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana etc., and got resolved the same by senior officials of concerned departments.

 

The Municipal Commissioner said now Jan Sunwai would be organised on every Tuesday in the conference hall at JMC headquarters from 11 am to 1 pm and problems of citizens would be heard resolved during the public hearing only. Additional Commissioner Anju Singh Thakur, P N Sankhere, Assistant Commissioner, Sambhav Ayachi along with all departmental heads were present in Jan Sunwai.
