Vijay Magar took charge as Superintendent of Police (SP) Nagpur Rural succeeding SP Rakesh Ola, who held the post for almost two years. Similarly, Ola took the reins of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Nagpur as SP. Magar joined the Police Force in 1998. He served as Deputy Superintendent of Police at Washim, Khed in Pune, Daund and Thane. He was Additional Superintendent of Police at Nashik Rural and Pune Rural. In 2018, he got IPS cadre. Magar was the Deputy Commissioner (Crime) in Nashik and Superintendent of Police in Nanded. Before his appointment as SP Nagpur Rural, Magar was serving as Deputy Commissioner of State Intelligence.

 

Later, Rakesh Ola took the charge of SP ACB Nagpur from the outgoing SP ACB Rashmi Nandedkar. She has been shifted to SP State Intelligence Department. SP Magar told ‘The Hitavada’ that he would decide the course of the new posting after taking a review of the district. Ola, after assuming the charge, said that his focus would be on intensifying action on corrupt officials in the region.
