Former Minister and Congress MLA Jitu Patwari made a blistering attack on State Government over alleged shortage of fertiliser in State. He said that State Government is claiming that no one needs to worry as there is adequate availability of fertiliser but ground reality is something different.
Addressing a press conference at Congress office in Bhopal, Jitu Patwari asserted that State has received 3.18 lakh tone urea. The allocation of urea is just 4.99 lakh tone and only 2.31 lakh tone urea has been distributed. He wanted to know that where one lakh tone urea has gone (missing) and State Government needs to answer in this regard. He alleged that hoarding of urea has been done in state by persons connected with ruling party and hoarded urea needs to be freed.
He came down heavily on Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel by saying that at a time when farmers are running pillar to post due to urea shortage, agriculture minister is doing ramp walk. He demanded that Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel should be removed.
