THIEVES burgled cash and gold ornaments collectively worth Rs 2.57 lakh from a house in Ganeshpeth area. A resident of Plot No 824, Shaniwari, Imambada Road, Jitendra Kishorilal Saroj (50) was out of station. His house was locked.

In the small hours on Wednesday, burglars struck at his house. They broke the rear window and sneaked into the house. The intruders collected Rs 37,000 cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 2.20 lakh from an almirah and decamped with the booty.

Following Saroj’s complaint, Ganeshpeth Police registered a case under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of the IPC.
