Under the guidance of Hon’ble Chief Justice/Patron-in-Chief, MP State Legal Services Authority (MPSLSA) and under the directions of Executive Chairman, MPSLSA co-ordinated with the National Health Mission and organised a legal awareness/ publicity programme through virtual mode recently on the occasion of Legal Services Day at NIC VC Room District Collectorate. In the event, Additional Secretary MPSLSA, Manoj Kumar Singh, took a brief session on Legal Services Institutions, its constitution, roles, services offered, Schemes of NALSA & SLSA and entitlement to free legal services was held and information was given to all the participants viz. Director (Vaccination), National Health Mission, CMHOs & District Vaccine Officers, District Community Mobilisers, District Programme Manager & Media Manager of every district. Secretary DLSAs were also connected through NIC VC room at respective District Collectorate. A PPT was also shared, through which a simple presentation of the working and schemes of Legal Service Institutions was also done.

 

Manish Singh Thakur, Secretary- District Legal Services Authority, Jabalpur and Secretaries of all DLS, Officers of National Health Mission, CMHOs, District Vaccination Officers, Community Mobilisers, District Programme Manager, Media Officers from each district and Mohammad Jilani, District Legal Aid Officer, Jabalpur were also present. With the coordinated efforts of the Legal Services Institutions, publicity of legal services shall be made accessible to the general public by reaching out to them. With this initiative and with the coordinated effort of District Legal Services Authority & National Health Mission in each district, dissemination of legal services schemes to all shall be made available through health workers, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, Vaccinator Supervisors, Paralegal Volunteers and Panel Lawyers etc in strict adherence of the COVID-19 protocol.
