COMPLETES SUPER SERIES OF BREVETS WITHIN A MONTH

SACHIN Rajmohan Sahu, 21, an engineering student of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM) and amateur cyclist, completed all the Super Series of brevets on his 7-year-old hybrid bicycle recently. The Super Randonneur (SR) title is earned by any rider who completes the Super Series of brevets (200 km, 300 km, 400 km and 600 km) within the same calendar year (Nov-Oct). He started with 200km BRM on September 12 and became SR on October 9 after completing the last 400 km BRM in Delhi. Sachin did 200 km and 600 km BRM in Nagpur, 300 km BRM in Ahmedabad and 400 km BRM in Delhi. He stepped up to the mammoth challenge of 600 km BRM after completing a single 200 km BRM. His interest in cycling started as a form of exercise to lose weight.

He lost 36 kilos in three years. Soon this hobby grew into a passion that was kindled by the achievements of individuals like Dr Amit Samarth, Dr Sunita Dhote (faculty Dept of Management Technology, RCOEM). Sahu is grateful for the support provided by his family, friends and well-wishers.
