Hindu Seva Parishad organises Tulsi Diksha ceremony

Hindu Seva Parishad has organised Tulsi Diksha ceremony at Siddha Maa Kali Mandir premises in Sadar. During the ceremony Parishad members distributed Tulsi plant to as many as 251 women and also administered Diksha. Sadhvi Vibhanand Giri ji was the chief guest of the programme. Speaking on the occasion she said that Tulsi is not merely a plat, it is a goddess. Tulsi makes our life holy and healthy from the religious and scientific point of view. Sadhvi Vibhanand Giri further said that one can easily feel happiness and peace at the place where Tulsi plant is situated. She said the holy basal spread positive energy and overwhelms the life of human being.
 
By lighting a lamp of ghee near Tulsi, stress and depression are removed, the mind becomes happy. It is mentioned in our sacred text that if a married woman worships holy Tulsi regularly, it extends the life of her husband and keep away negativity from home. Expressing views on the occasion Hindu Seva Parishad office bearers said Tulsi plant is found in almost every house. It represents the planet Mercury. In Hinduism, Tulsi has been given the status of goddess and it is considered a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi. Tulsi is married on the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. This day is celebrated as Devuthani Ekadashi. On this day Lord Vishnu awake from a long sleep of 4 months and with this auspicious programs start. On this day Shaligram ji, the form of Lord Vishnu, is married to Mata Tulsi.
