DOUBLE hundred seems to be a new norm these days as far as Guzder League B Division Tournament is concerned. Sultan Ahmed of Ruby Colts became the latest addition to the list of batsmen hammering a double ton in 50-overs matches this season. In a Group B2 game at VCA Kalamna ground, Ahmed hit eleven sixes and 23 fours from 121 balls for his 200. Shashank Manwatkar contributed 86 as the team amassed 365 in 50 overs after electing to bat first versus Qidwai Cricket Club. Qidwai were shot pout for a paltry 151 in 31.0 overs. Ahmed walked in when the side was precariously placed at 47-3. After one more wicket fell, Ahmed and Manwatkar stitched a 260-runs partnership for fifth wicket. For Qidwai, Chakreshwar Musale earned some respect with (6-47) from his quota of ten overs. None of the Qidwai batters showed intent. A top score of 30 came form the blade of Saugat Lahre. For the winners, Sanath Nagarkar scalped three wickets while Dharmendra Thakur and Govind Pandey chipped in with two wickets each. In an other match, Mahal CC (139 all out in 35.2 overs), lost to Nagpur Gymkhana (140-3 in 15.1 overs) by seven wickets.
