Over 4,000 cops stay put for security at Jamboree ground

Tight arrangements were made for the security for the mega event of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the city. Entry was given from 13 gates at Jambooree Maidan and the public had to pass first through thermal screening for detection of Covid-19, afterwards through door frame and hand held metal detectors to enter the premises. More than 4,000 police officers and jawans were deployed at various places in the city including Jamboree ground, railway station. Security was also tight during the tribal convention held at Jamboree ground. Along with many IPS, ASP, DSP, Inspector also had the responsibility of security, that's why checking was started from Mahatma Gandhi Square itself. No one was allowed inside without checking at all the 13 gates of the venue.
 
Tobacco, bidi-cigarettes or matches were not allowed in the program and were thrown at the gate itself, if found during checking. There was a tight security guard at the railway station for the arrival of PM Modi. No one was given entry without a pass. The Jamboree Maidan spread over 700 acres was divided into 28 sectors by the Department of AYUSH. Fever, cold-cold, stomach ache and ORS were kept here. When some tribal people complained of dizziness, they were given medicine. At the same time, the health of some policemen also deteriorated, who were also provided with treatment.
