Governor Mangubhai Patel said that the new education policy has given an opportunity to learn and teach the art of life. He said that universities should make efforts to coordinate India’s tradition, heritage, cultural values, technical knowledge and skill development in the education system. He was addressing the second convocation ceremony of Rabindranath Tagore University on Tuesday. He said that university should present the ideal of necessary changes in the education system to enhance the originality of the students. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has given an opportunity to the youth to make their dreams come true in the form of the new National Education Policy. On this occasion, he released the convocation souvenir. Chancellor of University Santosh Choubey presented research skill development booklet to the Governor. Mukul Kanitkar, All India organizing secretary of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal said that the convocation gives opportunities to give a direction to life.
 
Chairman of Private University Regulatory Commission, Bharat Sharan Singh informed the students about the practical nature of knowledge through various illustrations and said that they should take up the responsibility of the welfare of the country and determine the direction of their future lives. University Chancellor, Santosh Choubey informed that 9 Centers of Excellence have been established in the University under the National Education Policy, which are engaged in research work in various subjects. The University is supporting the development of advanced agriculture and small scale industries in Raisen and Harda districts.
 
The Atal Incubation Center is being operated in the University in collaboration with Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra, Deendayal Renewable Energy Center and NITI Aayog. The University also ranks between 100 and 150 in the NIRF rankings. Vice Chancellor Professor Brahm Prakash Pethia presented the report of the University. In the ceremony, 23 students were awarded undergraduate degrees, 13 PG, 25 PhD and three honorary titles. 25 students were awarded gold medals in the programme.
