Noted Diabetes, Thyroid and Obesity Expert, Dr. Ashish Dengra was bestowed with Best Innovation in Diabetes Award for his mobile app developed to provide significant consultations to the diabetic patients during COVID-19 pandemic. Acknowledging Dr. Dengra’s efforts to provide online consultancy of doctors, dietician, physiotherapist and yoga teacher to the patients who were unable to approach the hospitals despite emergency due to COVID pandemic, through mobile app, the Research Society for Study or Diabetes in India (RSSDI). The app helped the patients to keep effective control over their diabetes during pandemic with proper diet, exercises with the consultancy of expert dieticians and physiotherapists. The team also helped patients to remain stress free with the help of yoga and meditation. The RSSDI office-bearers deeply appreciated the innovative contribution made by Dr. Dengra to control Diabetes during pandemic and honoured him with medal and memento.
