Renu Chaturvedi won two gold medals in Bench and Deadlift categories during district-level Bench/Dead Lift Competition while Abhijeet Gupta received gold in disabled category. Around 250 players of the city participated in District-level Bench/Dead Lift Competition organised by District Association of Jabalpur Powerlifting (WPC India) recently.

 

The competition was inaugurated at the hands of General Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Powerlifting Association, Prakash Yadav in presence of District President, Ashutosh Mishra and District Secretary, Pradeep Patel. With their impressive performance, Aman Patelin (Sub-Junior), Sonu Rajak (Junior), Kshitij Bhatia (Senior), Shailendra Shrivastava (Master), Ritu Lodhi (Women) and S Thakur (Deadlifting) grabbed trophies and cash rewards in different categories. Panel of judges comprised Kamal Samad, Amit Sonkar, Hukum Singh, Aniket Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Thomas Paul, Akash Yadav, Vijay Rajak, Devendra Tiwari, Sanjay Tantoi, Rishiraj Barman, Amit Mehra and Pradeep Patel. All selected players will get opportunity to participate in State-level competition to be organised in December 2021. WPC President and World Record holder Daljeet Singh has extended best wishes to players.
