JMC Anti-encroachment Squad removes temporary structures from many areas

Anti-encroachment Department of the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) conducted drives in many areas of the city and removed temporary structures hindering traffic movement on main roads. Providing relief to the patients and their family members who arrive at Government Hospital, the anti-encroachment squad remove all temporary structures including kiosks, tin sheds etc. which were mushrooming near Elgin Hospital. A number of people had decked kiosks on both sides of the road in front of the hospital. The encroachments were creating inconvenience to the people coming to the hospital for treatment. To rid people of the problem, anti-encroachment department conducted this drive and removed unauthorised temporary structures.
 
After the drive, senior officials also ensured proper cleaning of the area. They also warned concerned people of strict action if they re-occupy the place and create inconvenience to commuters and people who come to the hospital. Likewise, the anti-encroachment squad also removed a number of temporary structures which were mushrooming in front of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital. The JMC employees removed kiosks, make-shift shops and heavy tin sheds which got erected in front of the shops. Assistant Commissioner Praful Gathe informed that he also held discussions with Security Officer of the Medical College and asked him to disallow encroachment on the entrance of the Medical Hospital and the adjoining areas. Those involved in the drive were Mukesh Paras, Laxman Kori, Brajkishore Tiwari and other members of the anti-encroachment squad.
