Rising tennis player Sejal Bhutada, Kashit Nagrale, Riddhima Shaw and Akshat Dakshindas emerged winners in their respective age categories in the Nagpur District Hardcourt Tennis Association organised Nagpur Tennis Championship at its Ram Nagar courts. In the girls U-14 final Sejal Bhutada breezed past Mishka Tayade 4-0, 4-0 in 30 minutes dropping a serve. In the boys U-17 final, Kashit Nagrale faced resistance from Tejal Pal. However, the match turned upside down and soon became a one sided affair with Kashit raising his level to record a 4-0, 4-0 title win. In girls U-17 summit clash, Riddhima Shaw beat Omshree Prasad 7-5, 4-2 to wrest the title.

 

The match was an interesting one and went neck and neck in the first set that went into tie-break. In the boys U-14 final, favourite Akshat Dakshindas ousted Aryan Goyal 4-2, 4-2 to bag the crown. Vjay Naidu was the Tournament Director. He conducted the function and also proposed a vote of thanks. Vishal Landge was Tournament Supervisor.
