JMC continues drive to contain stray cattle menace

Expediting the ongoing drive to citizens of stray cattle menace, the ‘hakka’ gang of Fire Department of the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC), on Tuesday, conducted drive many areas of the city and caught stray cattle. The haka gang caught a number of cows, bulls and other stray animals from busy roads, markets and shifted them to Gaushala at Tilwara. Fire Superintendent Kusagra Thakur and Assistant Superintendent Rajendra Patel informed that as per the instruction of the Municipal Commissioner the department is conducting the drive regularly and catching stray cattle from different parts of the city.
 
They said Fire department employees on Tuesday caught 21 cattle from Garha, Medical College, Karmeta, ISBT, ITI, Ukhri road, Vijay Nagar, Damoh Naka and other adjoining areas. After catching the cattle, the employees shifted them to Gaushala in Tilwara. Fire Superintendent Thakur said the Haka gang of fire department is toiling hard to provide relief to denizens from stray cattle menace and help maintain proper traffic arrangements. He said to ensure smooth traffic movement in the city, the department is conducting the drive regularly in day and night shift on busy streets and market places in all 79 wards of the city.
