Dishank Bajaj emerged champion of the Nagpur District Chess Association organised 46th Weekend Rapid Chess Tournament. The tournament was held NDCA Hall, at Dhanwate National College, Congress Nagar. Bajaj garnered 6.5 points from seven rounds to claim the title. In the seventh and final round, Bajaj spilt points with Sumedh Ramteke who finished fifth with 5.5 points. Shivain Bansal, with six points in his kitty, finished second while Ankesh Chopde finished third with 5.5 points.

 

The prizes were distributed at the hands of Pravin Pantawane, Chief Arbiter. Final rankings: Dishank Bajaj (6½), Shivain Bansal (6), Ankesh Chopde (5½), BC Borkar (5½), Sumedh Ramteke (5½), Shaunak Badole (5), Dhananjay Bhugaonkar (5), Saksham Singh (5), Ayush Ramteke (5), Sabir Adnan (5).
