Senior office-bearers and members of Madhya Pradesh Congress Parivahan Prakoshta, on Monday, met Inspector General of Police, Umesh Joga and submitted a memorandum demanding immediate check on illegal recovery of money at the RTO toll barrier at Ghansaur and suspension of Incharge of the toll. The Prakoshta office-bearers said three days ago, one D S Patel, a truck owner informed them that officials and employees at the toll had demanded Rs 2000 for his truck to cross the barrier. They said when the driver did not pay the money, the Incharge and employees kept the truck parked at the toll whole night.

The truck owner said the vehicle weight capacity, load and needed documents were up to date, despite the Incharge of the toll did not allow the truck to pass the barrier. As the vehicle was loaded with essential commodities, it got released by giving Rs 1000 in the morning. Madhya Pradesh Congress Parivahan Prakoshta office bearers said when then reached Ghansaur (Balpur) toll barrier, they saw illegal recovery of money was being done on large scale under the supervision of female Incharge of the toll. Prakoshta Office bearers alleged that the Incharge also misbehaved with them when they tried to discuss the matter with her.

The employees at the toll also took Rs 1500 from a Truck drive in front of them. There was no employee in the uniform. Therefore the Prakoshta members, including Narinder Singh Pandhe and others, have demanded the IG Police to direct for strict action against the Incharge of the RTO toll at Balpur, Ghansor, under Seoni district along with other employees who are allegedly engaged in illegal recovery of money at the toll.
