MP Academy shooters win four medals in 64th national championship

Continuing their stellar performance in the ongoing 64th National Pistol Shooting Championship 2021, players of Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy clinched four medals including a gold medal on Monday. Academy’s Udit Joshi bagged one gold medal, silver and in team event, Madhya Pradesh pocketed two bronze medals. The shooting championship is being organised in New Delhi from November 18 till December 6. Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia has congratulated the winner players of academy. In the individual category of 25 Meters Pistol Junior Civilian, Madhya Pradesh Academy’s Udit Joshi earned 575.17 points to win the gold medal. Hariyana’s Abhimanyu Yadav (with 575.15 points) won silver medal and Tamil Nadu’s A Mahesh Pashupati (with 574.14 points) claimed the bronze medal respectively. In the competition of 50 meter Junior Civilian, Madhya Pradesh’s Udit Joshi grabbed silver medal with 541.9 points.
 
Gold medal went to New Delhi’s Arjun Chillar while bronze medal went to Uttar Pradesh’s Akshat Verma. In team event of 25 meter pistol Junior Civilian, duo of Madhya Pradesh’s Udit Joshi, Hariom and Akshad Tambe earned 1703 points to win bronze medal. Competition’s gold medal was won by Haryana (1714 points) and silver medal went to Punjab (1704 points). In team event of 50 meter Pistol Junior Men, Madhya Pradesh team won bronze medal. Madhya Pradesh’s Udit Joshi, Honey Jat, Hariom Jat earned 1597 points to win the bronze medal. Competition’s Gold medal was won by New Delhi with 1649 points and Punjab (with 1612 points) claimed the silver medal.
