AK Nandgawe and MI Hararwala made most of the opportunity celebrating their victory in pairs event organised by Vidarbha Bridge Association in their sports complex at Shankar Nagar. Competing from a field of 10 pairs from Vidarbha region in 24 deals Match Point contest played in Howell movement, it was indeed a victory to cherish for Nandgawe and Hararwala pair. The duo played brilliantly and were unstoppable as they scored 54.50 Match Points which helped them secure top honours. VJ Puranik and Dhananjay Dabke duo, earning 54 MP, finished runners up.

Father and son duo of Raja and Amit Rewatkar completed the trio at the podium having put together 53.50 MP.

Amit Rewatkar was the tournament director for this brain game.

The club authorities have decided to host pairs event on every Sunday. Bridge enthusiasts are expected to turn up in more encouraging numbers, as their are sponsored events lined up after Diwali, the details of the same will be revealed very soon, informed Amit.
