After Diwali, the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC), on Monday, resumed the drive to catch stray cattle from city streets and provide relief to people. The employees of Dire Department of the JMC caught a number of cows, oxen and other stray cattle from busy roads, markets and shifting them to Kanji house. Following the direction of Municipal Commissioner, Sandeep G R, the Fire Department resumed the drive after Diwali festival on Monday. The JMC employees caught stray cattle from important and busy roads of the city. Fire Superintendent Kusagra Thakur and Assistant Superintendent Rajendra Patel informed that as per the directions of the Municipal Commissioner the department is conducting drive to catch stray cattle from different parts of the city.
 
They said Fire department employees on Monday caught 28 cattle from Garha, Gwarighat, Krishi Upaj Mandi and other adjoining areas. After catching the cattle, the employees shifted them to Gaushala in Tilwara. Fire Superintendent Thakur said the Haka gang of fire department would continue the drive and ensure proper safety of citizens and provide them good traffic facility. He said the department would further intensify the drive in the market places and important squares roads of the city.
