The Nagpur Branch of ICAI conducted the 11th edition of Chartered Accountant Premier League - Plasto CAPL Cup 2021 recently. Ranji Player from Vidarbha Rajneesh Gurbani inaugurated the event. On the occasion, Gurbani said that there is no short cut to success. “Hard work, perseverance, dedication and determination are essential elements for achieving success,” he said highlighting the importance of sports in our busy & stressful life. He congratulated the team Nagpur Branch of ICAI led by CA Saket Bagdia for the wonderful organisation of CAPL. CA Saket Bagdia, Chairman Nagpur Branch of ICAI also spoke about the importance of sports in one’s life, especially in the life of professionals like chartered accountants.

 

“Along with mental toughness, Chartered Accountants also need to be physically fit, he said. Bagdia said that the tournament is organised to give chartered accountants a break from their hectic work schedule and foster fellowship amongst members while duly taking care of financial fitness of clients. Bagdia thanked the title sponsors “Plasto Group” for their support in holding this event. The chairman complimented his entire team comprising of Vice Chairman CA Jiten Saglani, Secretary CA Sanjay M Agrawal, Treasurer CA Akshay Gulhane, Immediate Past Chairman CA Kirit Kalyani, Past Chairman CA Suren Durgakar for the success of this event. Sandesh Khemka and CS Rajat Poddar expressed happiness for sponsoring the CAPL event on behalf of Plasto Group and wished best wishes on behalf of Plasto Group for the CA fraternity.

 

CA Hemal Kothari wished good health and energy to all the players of the tournament while sponsoring the event as ‘Health drink partners’ with Soyamee – soya milk brand. The event was supported by Zafron Tradecom Pvt. Ltd. and Hardev Nidhi Limited also. In the five-day tournament eight teams consisting exclusively of Chartered Accountants participated enthusiastically. More than 300 Chartered Accountants as players and spectators would be involved in the event. Total 18 matches organised in the tournament between 8 teams in league, super league and final format. Semifinal and final will be played at DSA ground, Ajni, Nagpur. CA Jiten Saglani, Vice Chairman and Chairman WICASA, CA Sanjay M Agrawal, Secretary, CA Akshay Gukhane, Treasurer, CA Suren Duragkar, CA Kirit Kalyani and CA Swapnil Ghate Past Chairmen, CA Jethalal Ruhiyana and many CA’s were present at the inaugural function.
