In order to curb seasonal diseases and restrain the growth of Dengue larva in various households across the State Capital, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) is robustly conducting door-to-door surveys and spraying insecticides and other chemicals through fogging and manually-operated machines. As per the same initiative, the BMC staff conducted dengue larva surveys in their respective zones, conducted fogging and fumigation drives and sprayed insecticides on Thursday as well. As per the orders of Municipal Commissioner KVS Chaudhary, the BMC staff conducted the aforementioned surveys in Vikas Nagar, Sudama Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Rachna Nagar, Padmanabh Nagar, Bilaal Colony, Sayeed Colony, Vishwakarma Nagar, Sanjeev Nagar, Pooja colony, Shivani homes, Neelkanth colony, Aashiyana colony, Pragati Nagar and Police control room on Thursday. The BMC also sprayed insecticides in the localities and subjected them to fumigation.
 
BMC slaps fines of Rs 24,300 for violation of hygiene norms The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) teams are imposing spot penalties on people littering in public places, those using polythenes and on those who are not adhering to appropriate measures for keeping seasonal diseases at bay. As per the same initiative, the BMC staff recovered a fine of Rs 24, 300 in 158 such cases on Thursday as well. As per the orders issued by Municipal Commissioner KVS Chaudhary, the BMC staff imposed fines of Rs 2, 400 in Zone-4, Rs 1, 100 in Zone-7, Rs 700 in Zone-8, Rs 7, 900 in Zone-9, Rs 700 in Zone-10, Rs 600 in Zone-11, Rs 1, 500 in Zone-13 and levied heavy fines in other zones as well on Thursday.
