To bring Bhopal into the category of ‘water plus’, an awareness rally was taken out on Monday. The rally was organised in presence of Bhopal Municipal Corporation Commissioner (BMC) KVS Chaudhary and others including NCC Naval Wing, Additional Commissioner of BMC Pawan Singh etc. Participants of rally were also carrying banners in their hands. Bhopal Municipal Corporation is trying regularly to make city as water plus and it was in this connection that awareness rally was taken out. In the meantime, BMC Commissioner KVS Chaudhary also inspected the maintenance work of sewage lines and gave necessary instructions to officers. He also appealed civilians to maintain the cleanliness. Amidst this, sanitary commandos of BMC cleaned sewer lines of New Market area and did maintenance work of manhole.

 

As many as 15 sewage cleaning vehicles were also used in cleaning work. during the rally, people were advised to go for proper cleaning of septic tank in every 3 years and helpline phone numbers were also provided to them. During rally, sanitisation expert Jitendra Parmar gave the necessary information about sewer cleaning work and conserving water from Malasur. Bhopal Municipal Corporation will organise an Employment Fair at Acharya Narendra Dev library hall from 10 am till 4 pm on Wednesday. in this fair, benefit of various welfare schemes run by Government will be provided to eligible people. this fair will be organised under the ambitious Deendayal Antodaya Yojana and National Urban Livelihood Mission of Indian Government and State Government respectively.
