BHILAI,

RESIDENTS of Bhilai-3 and adjoining areas are a perturbed lot owing to deplorable state of approach road to newly-constructed RUB here and the closure of Sirsa gate railway level crossing sans the sign posts. However, talking about the notification regarding the underpass provision in the location and closure of railway level crossing the authorities from Raipur Division of South Eastern Central Railway (SECR) assured about measures for sparing people of undue problems. According to the information, a long stretch of approach road to newly-constructed RUB in Bhilai-3 near Sirsa railway level crossing is in deplorable state and the residents from Bhilai-3 and adjoining villages are complaining about possibilities of mishaps and breaking down of vehicles.

As per residents riding vehicle all through the long stretch of road is a risky affair and it will be very difficult to travel the stretch with possible rains during returning monsoon. Besides most daily commuters are ignorant about the opening of underpass in the area and they need to travel extra miles to reach the underpass after reaching the railway level crossing as no sign posts have been installed at the roads leading to Sirsa gate railway level crossing closed since Wednesday morning for road traffic following RUB dedicated to public. However, a small signboard regarding closure of the railway level crossing has been put by the gate days ago, while completing the formalities in this regard, a regular commuter complained. Dr Vipin Vaishnav, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Raipur Division of SECR informed that with taking stock of complained prevailing issues all necessary measures would be initiated for sparing residents from the area of unwarranted problems.
